This year, over 6,500 women-led SHGs in UP are working in mission mode to produce 2 crore tricolors. Notably, the Yogi government has set an ambitious target of 4.50 crore national flags under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign for 2024, officials here on Tuesday said.
The PM changed his profile picture to tricolour to celebrate Independence Day. He called on everyone to do the same to make the Har Ghar Tiranga Movement a memorable mass movement.
Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat announced on Thursday that the third edition of the "Har Ghar Tiranga" (HGT) campaign would be celebrated from 9 to 15 August as part of the Independence Day celebrations.
The figure represents a 5 to 10 per cent increase compared to last year when 4.5 crore tricolours were hoisted.
Actress Sadaa, who also wished all Indians a Happy Independence Day, said that she couldn't have wished to be born in any other country but India.
Har Ghar Tiranga programmes were organized by District Police Doda, Poonch, Rajouri, Budgam, RPHQ-Baramulla, Awantipora, Kupwara, Samba, Reasi, Sopore, IRP 3rd Bn. IRP 12th Bn Samba and IRP 5th Bn.
The Delhi Metro is actively participating in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign’ with various initiatives. As part of the campaign, creatives highlighting the achievements of India after Independence are being prominently exhibited at Metro stations, inside trains and Metro premises on display screens.
The Tricolour has a special place in the heart of the Indian community. Relationship with the flag has always been more formal and institutional than personal.
The Force is hosting the national flags at its Border Out Posts located at high altitudes at the 3,488 km India China borders and promoting the campaign among the border population as well. The Force also released a special song.
