Modern education should cater to the needs of every child, Kejriwal said while presiding over the closing ceremony of the Delhi Government's Happiness Utsav 2022 here.
Talking about his government’s unique celebration of happiness, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, “For the first time in the history of the country, children are being taught to become good human beings and to live happily; this is the most important goal of education, but it has never been taught in India."
'While US Embassy had no objection to the presence of CM and Deputy CM, we appreciate their recognition that this isn't a political event and that it's best to ensure focus is on education, school, and students,' a spokesperson in the US embassy said following a media query on the issue.
Earlier it was reported that both the leaders will attend the programme since the school comes under the Delhi government.
