In a significant fiscal milestone, Haryana has ascended to the 4th position in gross GST collection nationwide, registering a collection of Rs 14,057 crore in April 2025. This achievement comes as India recorded its highest monthly GST collection of Rs 2.37 lakh crore during the same period.
The record GST collection in April showcases the resilience of the Indian economy and the effectiveness of cooperative federalism, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Thursday.
With an aim to quicken the resolution of grievances and smoothen the GST registration process, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has issued instructions to the officers for the same.
