The killed cop has been identified as Tahir Khan, who was a resident of the LOC village Mendhar in the Poonch district of Jammu.
Luckily, the grenade missed its target and hence no damage was caused. Coming as it does ahead of the Independence Day, security forces are concerned over the attack.
