Total foodgrain production up by 211 LMT
The Government of India on Tuesday said that the total foodgrain production is estimated at 3288.52 LMT, higher by 211.00 LMT from average foodgrain production of last 5 years.

The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved setting-up of an inter-ministerial committee (IMC), to be headed by Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, for facilitation of food grain storage capacity in cooperative sector through convergence of various schemes of the Agriculture, Consumer Affairs, and Food Processing ministries.
"According to experts, the total grain harvest may reach 150 million ton," Putin said, noting that the harvest would fully cover domestic demand and increase exports.
Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had said that grain exports via the Black Sea will begin in the coming days.
