Amid Delhi's air pollution situation, Environment Minister Gopal Rai wrote to the Chief Secretary on Friday, urging personal oversight regarding the enforcement of the anti-pollution Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP).
In a review meeting over pollution held here, Rai informed that it has been decided to implement 50 per cent work from home rule across the state government departments, except those that fall under the 18 essential services category.
Yadav alleged that when the Congress was in power in Punjab, the AAP government blamed the state for stubble burning resulting in Delhi’s air becoming toxic.
He said the action plan to ensure round-the-clock electricity, the introduction of electric buses, and the planting of more trees has resulted in reduced pollution.
Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai on Friday urged the Centre to convene a meeting with all the stakeholders to evaluate potential of cloud seeding (artificial rain) for combating air pollution during winter season in the national capital.

The Delhi government has given strict instructions to the concerned officials to complete all the development works going on in the villages of the city within the stipulated time frame.
