Following the release of their second list of 20 candidates for the upcoming Delhi assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) state convenor Gopal Rai said that volunteers and ground level workers have been given priority by the party for selection of candidates.
Recognising their invaluable efforts to keep the city clean, Rai said they have made a significant contribution to keeping Delhi clean and beautiful.
Amid Delhi's air pollution situation, Environment Minister Gopal Rai wrote to the Chief Secretary on Friday, urging personal oversight regarding the enforcement of the anti-pollution Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP).
In a review meeting over pollution held here, Rai informed that it has been decided to implement 50 per cent work from home rule across the state government departments, except those that fall under the 18 essential services category.

In a joint press conference with cabinet ministers, Saurabh Bharadwaj and Imran Hussain on Saturday, Rai said the Delhi government is serious about protecting the people of Delhi from pollution and natural calamities like heat waves and is constantly working on expanding the green belt of Delhi.
