According to the West Central Railway CPRO, the derailment took place while the goods train was placed for unloading.
Around half-a-dozen railway employees were injured in the accident at the Singhpur railway station near Shahdol early on Wednesday morning.
The Railway Station Building was also damaged due to the derailment.
The track on which the accident occurred is managed by the NTPC for coal transportation from Madhya Pradesh to Uttar Pradesh.
