Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday held a review meeting with Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant regarding the feedback of BJP's "Maha Jansampark" Abhiyan and preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections were also discussed.
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday said that this year's budget will be realistic and futuristic, which will focus on areas like education, healthcare, sanitation, tribal welfare and other areas.
Earlier, ahead of assembly election in February 2022, the BJP had assured government jobs to the youths of the state. It was BJP's key poll plank.
On Monday, Goa CM met BJP national president J.P Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah for a meeting which was also attended by the new MLAs except for Michael Lobo (MLA).
However, he asked the public to be cautious even if the curfew period ends on June 6. He said that people should maintain social distancing norms and avoid crowding.
Asked whether the appeal made by him to stop social interaction in view of the spike in cases, was in contrast to the state government's decision to restart the tourism industry last week, Sawant said that tourists were allowed in the state after following due protocol and testing.
He further said that Goa would pitch for the resumption of restaurants, hotels, malls and gyms with the implementation of social distancing norms.
"Ayurveda has no cure for Covid-19, but it can increase immunity," Sawant said at a press conference here on Thursday.
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said that the disaster management teams in the state are on standby for facing all eventualities.
