Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday held a review meeting with Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant regarding the feedback of BJP's "Maha Jansampark" Abhiyan and preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections were also discussed.
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday said that this year's budget will be realistic and futuristic, which will focus on areas like education, healthcare, sanitation, tribal welfare and other areas.
Earlier, ahead of assembly election in February 2022, the BJP had assured government jobs to the youths of the state. It was BJP's key poll plank.
On Monday, Goa CM met BJP national president J.P Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah for a meeting which was also attended by the new MLAs except for Michael Lobo (MLA).
Sawant said that chief ministers were briefed about the Covid status across the world and India.
"I am saying that such religious conversions should not take place... the government will never allow conversions to take place"
The Chief Minister also said that Goa is a multilingual state, where different languages are used for different tasks.
Sawant also said that the portfolio allocation process would also be completed by Monday. There is a cap of 12 ministers (including the chief minister) in the Goa cabinet.
Sawant tweeted photos of himself taking blessings from the Ganesh idol installed at the Maharashtra Opposition leader's residence.
