German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has spoken in favour of Russia's participation in a new summit to resolve the crisis with Ukraine, the Russian media reported on Sunday.

Scholz will be accorded a ceremonial welcome at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhawan at 10 am. He will also hold a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the two leaders will discuss bilateral, regional and global issues.
Libya has been locked in a civil war since the ouster and killing of former leader Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.
The German chancellor also praised the Egyptian efforts to reach a settlement to the conflict in Libya, according to the spokesman.
The government also includes a general call for everyone to continue to maintain a safe distance from one another and wear masks in shops and on public transport.
