The incident is of February 6 at the women’s college of Delhi University situated in South Delhi where some drunken men reportedly entered the college and molested and manhandled the students.
The Supreme Court on Thursday refused to entertain the plea. A bench headed by Chief Justice S A Bobde asked lawyer M L Sharma, who mentioned the matter seeking urgent hearing, to move the Delhi High Court with his plea.
The decision was given by a Saket Court where the accused were produced to the concerned magistrate and sent to Tihar jail in the alleged molestation case.
The incident came to light after some students took to Instagram to narrate their unpleasant experiences during the fest and alleged that security personnel did nothing to control the unruly groups.
Protesting against the incident on Monday, the students gathered inside the college against the management and soon the number of students reached between 1500 to 2000.
It was alleged by the student's group that scores of inebriated men groped and harassed students on the third day of the annual fest 'Reverie'.
Kirori Mal College, SRCC, Hansraj College, Gargi College, Deshbandhu College and Vivekananda College were among the colleges which released their second cut-off list for admission to different UG courses.
These colleges have time till 31 August to comply
