India acknowledged on the night of the clash on 15 June 2020 itself that 20 of its soldiers had achieved martyrdom in the incident.
Giving its own version of the 15 June incident, Global Times accused the Indian troops of failing to honour their promise.
He said he would urge the Indian side to conduct a thorough investigation, hold the violators accountable, strictly discipline the frontline troops, and immediately stop all provocative acts to ensure such incidents would not recur.
