Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat announced on Thursday that the third edition of the "Har Ghar Tiranga" (HGT) campaign would be celebrated from 9 to 15 August as part of the Independence Day celebrations.
In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Union Tourism and Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that FTAs during the period January- May, 2024 were 40.72 lakh as compared to 37.32 lakh in January-May 2023, registering a growth of 9.1 per cent with respect to 2023.
Shekhawat, who inaugurated the 7th edition of the India International Hospitality Expo (IHE 2024) at the India Expo Centre & Mart, said India has all the resources to present a world-class tourism sector.
Shekhawat alleged that Ashok Gehlot didn't provide information on two criminal cases registered against him - one related to a land scam and the other one of loot, rape and sexual offence, in his nomination papers.

Targetting those who have been criticising Sanatan Dharma, he said: "Today, Sanatan Dharma is being challenged by many forces from within and outside the country. Today is the day of resolution. We all need to resolve that whoever speaks against Sanatan, we will oppose and reject them."
A Delhi court on Monday posted for August 21 Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat’s defamation complaint filed against Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot for ‘misleading statements’ against him in connection with the Sanjivani Credit Cooperative Society scam.
"Main Rs 46,000 crore dedunga, aap log Rajendra Singh ka Raj bana do...turant bana dunga ERCP (I will provide Rs 46,000, you people have to make Rajendra Singh's Raj. I will make ERCP immediately)".

The Union Water Resources Minister said India is a country with a variety of rain patterns and abundant water resources. If water resources are managed properly, there would never be a water shortage.
