Domestic tourism in India is poised to grow exponentially, outpacing the nation's economic growth by 15 per cent over the next five years, said Union Minister of Tourism & Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in New Delhi on Wednesday.

Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat announced on Thursday that the third edition of the "Har Ghar Tiranga" (HGT) campaign would be celebrated from 9 to 15 August as part of the Independence Day celebrations.
In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Union Tourism and Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that FTAs during the period January- May, 2024 were 40.72 lakh as compared to 37.32 lakh in January-May 2023, registering a growth of 9.1 per cent with respect to 2023.
