The Geological Survey of India (GSI), one of the oldest scientific organisations in the country, is set to celebrate its 175th year of geoscientific legacy.
Environmental protection during mining activities remains a core focus area for coal and lignite Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), said Union Minister of Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy.
The report was unveiled by Union Minister of Coal and Mines G Krishna Reddy during the half-yearly review of the coal sector here on Tuesday.
Reddy said, “Seeing the immense response of the people of J&K, there should be no doubt in anybody’s mind that BJP will form the next government in J&K”.
He stated that prior to this historic move, the region was plagued by lack of basic infrastructure, including electricity, roads, water connections, and housing for the poor.
