The CBI is learnt to have sent a letter to the state health department seeking permission to initiate interrogation of two doctors of R G Kar Medical College and Hospital, allegedly in connection with their complicity in corruption, which the central agency is probing.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), probing both the gruesome incident at the teaching hospital and alleged financial irregularities involving crores of rupees in the hospital, arrested Dr Pandey on charge of his involvement in the scam.
Incidentally, the body of the junior female doctor was discovered at the seminar hall within the hospital premises on the morning of 9 August.
