At the outset of his address during a banquet hosted by President Droupadi Murmu, Macron expressed that he is looking forward to building stronger cooperation on sports with India.
In her address, President Murmu said India and France are on a shared journey to the future and added that the two nations are building a future that matters to the people of both nations, especially the youth.

Various agreements were made between the two countries during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day visit to France from July 13-14 to attend the Bastille Day celebrations.

Asked if the US and its allies have betrayed their moral responsibility following Washington's decision, Macron said that he would rather not use the word "betrayal".
