National career to start Durgapur-Chennai flights from 16 May from Andal

The Biman Bangladesh airlines shared that it resumed its flight services with India and would fly to cities Kolkata and Delhi. The airline further stated that in the Kolkata-Dhaka route, from 7 September, two flights will be available in a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays while from 8 September in the Dhaka-Delhi route, flights will be available on Sundays and Wednesdays.
"Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are key markets for Sri Lanka and Sri Lankan Airlines is looking forward for further expansion in terms frequencies or capacity out of Telangana when passenger demand expected to grow,"
Last month, a team of AAI had visited the pilgrim town Puri to make a pre-feasibility study for the proposed airport. They visited the proposed site at Girala near Sipasarubali area on Puri-Bramhagiri road.
The Kolkata airport which serves as one of the vital airports in the Eastern Region of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) is expecting increase in flights from Paro airport in Bhutan to Kolkata.
At present Air India operates flight services from Durgapur to New Delhi and Durgapur to Hyderabad four days a week.
The new flight reiterates the airline’s commitment to augment connectivity between metro and non-metro cities.
