The upcoming Delhi assembly election promises an intense battle as the BJP announced its first list of 29 candidates including former MPs and ministers such as Parvesh Verma, Ramesh Bidhuri, Raaj Kumar Anand, and Arvinder Singh Lovely.
With the Delhi Assembly elections due in February, The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) took the lead by releasing its first list of 11 candidates, accommodating six turncoats and dropping three incumbent MLAs.
The prominent names in the first list included CLP leader Mukesh Agnihotri from Haroli, Asha Kumari from Dalhousie, Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu from Nadaun and Kaul Singh Thakur from Darang.
A total of 172 candidates have been finalised for three of the seven-phased polls in the state.
