According to the Delhi Fire Service department, a total of 27 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the blaze.
As per the latest reports, the firemen doused the fire at 2.30 p.m. The official said that the fire had mainly caught the electrical board and the false ceiling due to which white smoke could be seen billowing out from the basement area.
The fire breaks out on the 3rd and 4th floor of the building.
The cause of the blaze in not known yet, a Delhi Fire Services official said.
'Initially, light smoke was seen around 11 am, but by 11.30 flames were seen gushing out of windows with thick black smoke,' eyewitnesses said.
Visuals aired by TV channels showed thick smoke billowing out of the unit as fire tenders are fighting the blaze for four hours.
