Fire was reported on the sixth floor of DRDO at Metcalfe House near the Civil Lines metro station. A total of 18 fire tenders were rushed to the site.
No casualties or injuries to anyone have been reported in the incident that took place at around 07.00 am.
A total of 10 fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the blaze was brought under control by 6 pm, the Delhi Fire Service Department said.
According to the officials, 24 fire engines were rushed to the spot and efforts are underway to douse the fire.
As per the latest reports, the firemen doused the fire at 2.30 p.m. The official said that the fire had mainly caught the electrical board and the false ceiling due to which white smoke could be seen billowing out from the basement area.
