A day after the Delhi Assembly elections culminated in voting, the Delhi Police, on Thursday, released the data on the violations of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC). According to the data, a total of 1,098 cases of violation of MCC were registered during the electoral process and over Rs 11.70 crore of cash was seized.
The nomination process for all 70 Assembly constituencies commenced on Monday following the issuance of the election notification.
All three candidates of the ruling NDA in Andhra Pradesh Tuesday filed their nomination papers for the byelection to the three Rajya Sabha seats. Beeda Mastan Rao and Sana Satish filed their nomination as TDP candidates while R Krishnaiah filed his nomination paper as a BJP candidate.
The taxpayers and tax professionals made their compliances in time, leading to a surge in filing of ITRs which resulted in a new record of ITRs filed, it said.
