The FIH Hockey Pro League 2023/24 (Women) is scheduled to take place at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar from February 3-9, before moving to the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium in Rourkela, where the league will continue from February 12 to 16.
The fifth season of the FIH Hockey Pro League is just a month away, when the 18 best teams in the world (9 men’s and 9 women’s) will compete in 144 matches, with the aim of winning the coveted trophy.
India was placed fourth in this season's league behind the Netherlands, Great Britain, and Belgium. Despite finishing fourth, India the tournament in goal scoring with 51 goals in 16 games.
For Harmanpreet led Squad it was a mixed result in their recent Europe outing where they won four out of the eight matches played over a span of two weeks in the y Pro League.
The defeat kept India second on the points table with 24 points from 13 matches, with three matches to be played.
"We are not letting the two losses last week play on our minds. We still have six more matches to play and we know that if we play to the structure and execute good finishes, we will be able to return to the top of the pool table." the Indian captain opined.
Currently leading the pool table with 19 points from 5 outright victories in 8 matches and 2 from shootouts, India will look to carry on with their winning ways when they take on Belgium tomorrow and Britain on Saturday, 27th May.
