The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday approved the rationalisation of all Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) operating under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers into two umbrella schemes.
He also emphasized on the importance of assessing the performance and impact of the existing research network.
Mr Chouhan, a former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, visited various offices in the Ministry and interacted with staff at various levels, including cleanliness workers. He exhorted them to work as a team for achieving the government vision for welfare of farmers and work in cooperation with each other.
