Meanwhile, assuring the farmers of the cotton-growing belt in Southern Punjab of every possible help in mitigating their woes, the CM asked the deputy commissioners of cotton affected districts to send the complete reports positively by October 29 so as to disburse compensation to them at the earliest.
Fighting for farmers’ rights since 1936, AIKS supports the Samyukta Kisan Morcha in its current battle against the three contentious farm laws.
The Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, who held detailed deliberations with the farmers on Wednesday, had promised to take up withdrawal of the cases registered by the RPF.
