"I have said this earlier also that farm laws were brought in for the benefit of farmers, but have now been withdrawn in the interest of the nation. I don't think this needs to be explained anymore. Future events will make it clear why these steps were necessary," said PM Modi. Prime Minister said he has always worked for the benefit of farmers and they always supported him.

In the spirit of holy ''Gurupurab'', the Prime Minister said that today was not the day for blaming anyone but rededicating oneself to working for the welfare of the farmers.
PM Modi assured the farmers that the decision will see its implementation in the Parliament session that would kick off at the end of this month. All three laws will be repealed with due process, he assured.
"This has not only come as huge relief to farmers but has paved way for Punjab's progress. I look forward to working closely with @BJP4India led centre for development of Kisans. I promise Punjab's people I won't rest till I wipe every tear from every single eye."
