As per the reports, later after the meeting, Narendra Tomar, his cabinet colleague Piyush Goyal and junior industry minister Som Prakash are meeting the 35-member team of farmers.
The government should bring a bill to ensure private players don't procure food grains below the MSP fixed by the government, it said.
Union Minister Rajnath Singh said that the Opposition In Rajya Sabha was trying to “confuse farmers”. He said, “ I'm also farmer, never believe the government will hurt farmers.”
