Despite being granted interim bail by the Supreme Court in a separate Enforcement Directorate (ED) case, Kejriwal remains incarcerated due to the CBI's arrest related to the excise policy controversy.
The CBI told the court that Kejriwal didn't cooperate in the investigation and gave evasive replies.
A vacation bench of Rouse Avenue Court, comprising Justice Amitabh Rawat, stated that the Delhi CM will be produced before the court on June 29 before 7 pm.
The court gave both the petitioner, Kejriwal and the prosecuting agency Directorate of Enforcement, a week’s time to file their additional written notes.
The Delhi CM on Sunday said the central agency will arrest him if the BJP government has given the orders.
Confirming the report, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh said, "A notice has been served by CBI. On 16th April, Arvind Kejriwal will appear before them."
Manish Sisodia will be produced at court in case pertaining to alleged irregularities in the framing and implementation of the excise policy.
The Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi will also hear Sisodia's bail application on Tuesday, in the same case being probed by the CBI.
Kejriwal read out a message from Sisodia to the children of Delhi and said that their Chacha wants the kids to only focus on their studies.
