Despite the commission's lofty claims, the Election Commission of Pakistan's (ECP) new Election Management System (EMS) failed, he said.
"Elections through ballot paper are necessary to restore the faith in democracy,” said the Samajwadi Party president.
In the 2023 assembly polls, the BJP won 163 seats, the Congress 66 and one seat went to the Bharat Adivasi party (BAP).
With this announcement, election model code of conduct comes into forced in the state.
