A petition seeking disciplinary action against the illegal operation of commercial establishments, commercial complexes, nursing homes, clinics, hospitals, marriage halls, and hotels in UP was filed.
The Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority had on Friday declared a public health emergency after air quality in the NCR region dipped to 410 on October 31.
The pollution control body has also banned construction activity till November 5 and bursting of crackers during the winter season.
The air quality in Delhi-NCR deteriorated further Thursday night and is now at the severe plus level, EPCA chairperson Bhure Lal said in a letter to the chief secretaries of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi.
