The poll panel submitted a list of newly-elected candidates to Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena.
Among the assembly constituencies, Mustafabad registered the highest turnout at 12.43%, while Chandni Chowk recorded the lowest at 4.53% in the first two hours.
The ECI has also called upon citizens, parties, and candidates to report any instances of election related violations using its “cVigil” app.
Releasing its fourth and final list of 38 candidates on Sunday, the AAP has become the first party in the city to declare candidates for all 70 assembly seats in Delhi, even before the announcement of the assembly elections by the Election Commission of India (ECI).
Initially, the police requested the TMC leaders to vacate the area. However, upon their refusal to comply, they were subsequently detained and removed from the spot.
She further assured that AAP will reply to the ECI notice issued against them but asked if the poll panel will take action on complaints against the BJP.
"It is worth noting that the BJP has put up objectionable hoardings across Delhi. On Friday morning, the AAP had filed a complaint with the Election Commission of India regarding this," said the party.
The ECI said the decision was taken as part of the regular review by it during a meeting chaired by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar along with election commissioners Gyanesh Kumar and Sukhbir Singh Sandhu.
Besides this, the poll panel also appointed Special Expenditure Observers in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh.
