Agricultural income has increased at 5.23 per cent annually over the past decade, according to the Economic Survey 2024-25 tabled in the Parliament on Friday by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

Citing the All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) 2021-22, it said the total enrolment in higher education has increased to nearly 4.33 crore in FY22 from 4.14 crore in FY21 and 3.42 crore in FY15, an increase of 26.5 per cent since FY15.
Recommends farm sector policies aligned more with a ‘demand-driven food system’ that is more nutritious and aligned with Nature’s resource endowments.
The Survey highlights that the latest NHA estimates for FY20 show an increase in the share of Government Health Expenditure (GHE) in the total GDP as well as the share of GHE in Total Health Expenditure (THE).
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will table the Economic Survey 2023-24 along with a statistical appendix in Parliament on Monday, a day ahead of the Union Budget.
The economic survey will be a report card on the economy and the challenges ahead. The survey has been prepared by a team, led by Chief Economic Adviser V Anantha Nageswaran.
