Government’s consumption growth estimated to improve in FY25

The government consumption growth is estimated to improve in FY25 given the increase in the revenue expenditures of both state and union governments, while private consumption growth is expected to be driven by rural demand, easing inflation and a favourable base, according to a report on Sunday.

It highlighted that India’s economy is projected to expand between 6.3 per cent and 6.8 per cent in the financial year 2025-26 (FY26).
