The training is planned to familiarise the BLOs with their roles and responsibilities as per statutory framework and equip them to ensure errorfree electoral rolls.

A two-day training programme for 12 electoral registration officer (ERO), 217 booth level officer (BLO) and two district election officer (DEO) from West Bengal commenced on Wednesday by the Election Commission of India (ECI).
Polling for the second phase of elections will be held in 26 Assembly constituencies including Kangan, Lal Chowk, Budgam, Reasi, Nowshera, Rajouri, Budhal, Poonch Haveli, and Mendhar in the Union Territory.
