Women-led development has been the priority of the Union government and it has been incorporated in India’s foreign policy, said External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on the concluding day of the three-day 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention here on Friday.
In a social media post on 'X' marking the 20th anniversary of Quad, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday said the four-nation grouping now stands as a vital force for stability, progress and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific.
Earlier this week, while addressing a campaign rally in Palghar, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also made it clear that "PoK was, is, and will continue to be an integral part of India" and no power can challenge this position.
"When it was offered to us, Nehru's position was ‘we deserve the seat but first China should get it’," the MEA said at the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ahmedabad.
He also underlined that it is a weird thing to know that the same five nations who have kept their control are being asked whether or not the change should take place in the security council.
"We are not ruling out an investigation and looking at anything which they may have to offer. They haven't done so," Jaishankar added.
During a conversation with journalist Lionel Barber on Wednesday, Jaishankar emphasised the importance of credible evidence.
