E-auction of wheat and rice held under open market scheme

Briefing media, Minister of State for Culture and External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi said the e-auction features an exceptional collection of artefacts representing India’s rich heritage.
Mayur Maheshwari, CEO of UPSIDA, informed in a statement here on Tuesday that the e-auction process has started on January 31 at 10 am.
As the e-auction, which began on Sunday moves to its third day on Tuesday, one of the biggest highlights was with 410 matches to be broadcasted in the five-year cycle, the total value per match for every IPL game is at INR 107.5 crore.
The report also said that the identity of the winners of the TV and digital rights bid is yet to be identified with no official word coming from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
According to sources, with the value per match crossing the Rs. 100-crore mark, the overall value of the media rights has touched Rs. 41,000 crore as of now, with two parties, whose names are yet to be known, not willing to give up on the digital rights of the mega event.
On August 10, the authority had approved a policy for e-auction of CNG station sites, under which DDA will allow sites to individuals or gas distribution companies or its ‘letter of intent’ holders through the mode of an auction on a licence basis.
Among the items being auctioned are sports gears and equipment recently gifted by winners of Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Tokyo 2020 Paralympics medals to the Prime Minister.
The e-auction of the plots developed by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) was conducted by MSTC Ltd, a Central government enterprise.
