The murder incident took place on October 23, when a vegetable seller was shot dead by two unidentified assailants and a case under section 103 (murder) and Arms Act was registered at Police station Dwarka North.
The two brothers, who attacked the victim with brick and wooden pieces after an argument between them during a drinking session, were arrested.
The family had suspected no foul play in the death, but prima facie it appears to be a case of suicide due to depression, said an official.
The victim reported the matter to the police through a PCR call on Sunday. She said she came to Delhi in search of a job with her friend’s reference.
