The Delhi High Court, on Wednesday, reiterated its stand that it would allow the counting of votes only after public properties are cleared of the defacement caused by the candidates.
With the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) polls slated for September 27, candidates from different parties have intensified their campaign by going to different campuses, faculies, departments .

Voting at morning colleges associated with the university begun at 8.30 a.m. on Friday while in the evening colleges it started at 3 p.m.
Taking place after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, over 1,17,000 students are set to cast their votes in the elections.
Presenting videos as evidence, members of ABVP claimed that workers of other organisations were involved in the act as they were seen carrying sticks and assaulting the students.
According to an ABVP member, they were engaged in a peaceful campaign when a group of men arrived and attacked the students.
Numerous cases of aggression targeted towards students and members of the opposition have been witnessed within the campus premises.
