Rashtriya Kala Manch, in collaboration with Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU), is set to organise a three-day annual cultural festival ‘Madari’ from February 12 to 14 at the North campus of DU.
In September, Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti (CYSS), the student wing of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), decided to refrain from contesting the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) polls citing the assembly elections. It has been engaged in generating support for the party at the ground level for the past five months.
The dates for counting of votes for colleges and departments have alose been revised. It take place on Sunday (November 24), instead of November 21, it added.
The Delhi High Court, on Wednesday, reiterated its stand that it would allow the counting of votes only after public properties are cleared of the defacement caused by the candidates.
With the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) polls slated for September 27, candidates from different parties have intensified their campaign by going to different campuses, faculies, departments .
Vijender Gupta, MLA from Rohini and Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly has been in public life in a career spanning three decades.
The bus service was launched by DUSU President Tushar Dedha, Secretary Aprajita, Joint Secretary Sachin Baisla along with Delhi University Proctor, Professor Rajni Abbi, Deputy Proctor Dr Saurabh and other university officials.
“The organization will not contest DUSU elections this year, rather it will focus on the Delhi Assembly elections which are due next year”, Kamal Tiwari, CYSS state President, told The Statesman.
The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), on Sunday, announced the formation of its election committee for the upcoming Delhi University Students’ Union election (DUSU) to nominate candidates and make electoral decisions.
Addressing a press conference at the university’s North campus, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP)-led DUSU president Tushar Dedha stated, “During our tenure, we not only acted as the voice of students but also fought to bring them tangible results”.
