In the wake of the surge in the hoax bomb threats being received across schools in the national capital, Delhi Police on Monday organised a training for the teachers on bomb threats and drug abuse as part of LG VK Saxena’s ‘Samvaad’ programme.
In order to crack down on the illegal sale of narcotics and drug abuse, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force of Delhi Police in coordination with the Narcotics Control Bureau has launched a month-long joint operation.
The Bill calls for the framing of education programmes in schools and promoting a drug-free environment.

The court observed that charges were yet to be framed in the case and opined that since the accused was a citizen of Nepal, he has no roots in society and can be considered a potential flight risk.
Responding to the call for attention, in the Assembly, in respect to increasing cases of drug addicts and smuggling are being reported in the state, the minister said controlling the spread of drug abuse is a serious challenge and the state government is committed to tackling it effectively.
The Mandi district police have started the campaign with the ulterior motive of free the youth from drug menace, apart from taking strict action against drug peddling.
