Himachal Pradesh witnessed significant reduction in road accidents and fatalities in the state during the year 2024 as compared to the previous year. Compared to the year 2023, road accidents in the state have decreased by 6.48 per cent. A total of 2107 accidents were reported in the year 2024 as against 2253 in the year 2023.

The recovery of 91,930 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally to 4,16,77,641. Consequently, the national Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.68 per cent, the ministry said.
With the latest daily infection, the cumulative infection tally has climbed to 12,77,262, while the State currently has 12,330 active cases. While 244 positive cases are from the 0-18 year age group among the new infectees, the recoveries on Sunday have surpassed the daily cases, marking the steady decline in infection.
