The 11th edition of the Asia Fire Protection Inspection Council (AFIC) Meet commenced today, jointly organised by the Centre for Fire, Explosive, and Environment Safety (CFEES), DRDO, in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
This hypersonic missile is designed to carry various payloads for ranges greater than 1,500 kms for the Armed Forces.
The missile was launched from a mobile articulated launcher, achieving all primary mission objectives.
A statement from the Ministry of Defence stated that these advancements also include Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs) with power capabilities up to 40W, suitable for applications extending to X-band frequencies.
Hailing 'Mission Divyastra', the successful flight test of the Agni-5 missile conducted by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), the former chief of the agency, G Satheesh Reddy, on Wednesday said it was a ' game-changer' for armed forces.
Government sources said the missile technology “will ensure that a single missile can deploy multiple warheads at different locations.”
Over the next four years, a total of 41 sets, valued at Rs 2,585 Crores, will be progressively inducted. It is a mechanically launched single-span, fully decked 46-meter assault bridge, enabling the Army to overcome obstacles such as canals and ditches with ease.
Many critical systems/technologies developed by Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) will be showcased during the 75th Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path on January 26.
He will be accompanied by a high-level Ministry of Defence delegation, comprising senior officials from DRDO
