Several issues raised by individual citizens and delegations were resolved on the spot, while instructions for immediate action were issued in several other cases.
On the occasion, he presented Doctor of Science degrees to four renowned scientists - Dr Raghunath A Mashelkar, Prof Samir K Brahmachari, Prof Suresh Bhargava and Dr Thirumalachari Ramasami, during the 8th convocation of the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR).
Speaking at the National Workshop on Effective Redressal of Public Grievances through a virtual platform, the Union minister called the achievement a testament to the government’s commitment to responsive and citizen-centric governance.

In the backdrop of the crucial polling in the Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha constituency today, Dr Jitendra Singh said, as far as the Kashmir Valley is concerned, the polling has been almost as much or higher than the national average.
The minister further alleged that the Congress also denied 4% reservation to the people living along the International Border in this region.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, in the last 10 years under Prime Minister Modi, Udhampur-Doda-Kathua Lok Sabha constituency is among the most developed constituencies in the country.
He said Kishtwar is all set to emerge as North India’s major "power hub" generating around 6,000 MW of electricity after the completion of the ongoing power projects
