The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate the sale of ASI monument tickets through metro’s ‘Momentum 2.0 Delhi Sarthi’ mobile application.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) registered its highest passenger journeys on November 18 with 78.67 lakh journeys being performed in the network.
The first Metro train, comprising six coaches, procured by Delhi Metro for its Phase 4 operations, reached the national capital on Friday, marking a significant milestone towards completing and operationalising priority corridors of Delhi Metro Phase-4.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) observed the Vigilance Awareness Week-2024 from October 28 to November 3, joining the nationwide initiative under the theme “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity” through a series of events and activities.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Wednesday informed that the last metro train service will commence at 10 pm instead of the usual 11 pm from terminal stations of all lines on account of the Diwali festival on October 31.
The DMRC has been working continuously on the Phase 4 project for the last one and a half to two years, giving the organisation just about four years to complete the entire work by 2026.
"Metro train services on Phase-III sections which usually begin at 8 am on Sundays will begin at 6 am this Sunday i.e., 16th June, 2024. This arrangement is being made to facilitate the candidates appearing for Civil Services (Prelim) Examination held by UPSC this Sunday," a DMRC spokesperson said on Friday.
The MoU was officially signed by Dr Amit Kumar Jain, Director (Operations & Services), DMRC and Dr Deepak Tripathi, Director (Technical), RITES where Dr Vikas Kumar, Managing Director, DMRC was also present, a DMRC spokesperson said on Thursday.
The agreement designates both organisations as project service providers for a wide range of infrastructure projects including Metro/Railways, High-Speed Rail, Highways, Mega-Bridges, Tunnels, Institutional Buildings, Workshops or Depots, S&T works, and Railway Electrification, a DMRC spokesperson said on Friday.
At present, the DMRC has a fleet of over 345 trains with around 5,000 AC units installed in them.
