The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Saturday responded to a viral video circulating on social media regarding some passengers jumping over AFC gates to exit at the Jama Masjid Metro station, saying there was a temporary surge of passengers for a brief time when some passengers bypassed the AFC gate by jumping over it to exit.

The MoU was officially signed by Dr Amit Kumar Jain, Director (Operations & Services), DMRC and Dr Deepak Tripathi, Director (Technical), RITES where Dr Vikas Kumar, Managing Director, DMRC was also present, a DMRC spokesperson said on Thursday.
The agreement designates both organisations as project service providers for a wide range of infrastructure projects including Metro/Railways, High-Speed Rail, Highways, Mega-Bridges, Tunnels, Institutional Buildings, Workshops or Depots, S&T works, and Railway Electrification, a DMRC spokesperson said on Friday.
At present, the DMRC has a fleet of over 345 trains with around 5,000 AC units installed in them.
The top court also set aside the orders passed by the High Court in the course of the execution proceedings for enforcing the arbitral award.
"The main objective of the survey is to know what the commuters think about various aspects of Metro Operations including feedback/ suggestions on improving the quality of service," a DMRC spokesperson said.
