Kapil Dev's decision to resign from the CAC comes after DK Jain sent a notice to him with regards to allegations of conflict of interest.
The fire officials have confirmed the report adding that no one has been injured in the incident.
On 15 March, the Supreme Court had quashed the BCCI disciplinary committee's order that imposed a life ban on Sreesanth and directed the committee to revise its decision.
On Tuesday, DK Jain decided that Sreesanth's ban will end on September 12, 2020 -- seven years as compared to the original life ban.
Notably, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had banned Sreesanth, who is now 36 years old, for life in August of 2013.
Notably, Dravid has been sent a notice by BCCI Ethics Officer DK Jain after the latter received a complaint from Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) life member Sanjeev Gupta.
But it is also believed that Dravid and India Cements had mutually decided to suspend their association till Dravid works as head at the NCA.
They were summoned by the ombudsman after cases of alleged conflict were filed against them for their roles as IPL team mentors as well as members of the Cricket Advisory Committee.
The ombudsman has also said that if both the players fail to do so within four weeks from the date of the receipt of the order, the BCCI might deduct the said amount from the match fees payable to the players.
