After announcing bonus for non- gazetted employees on the occassion of Diwali, Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday has issued an order to increase dearness allowance (DA) by three pe rcent, giving another Diwali gift to its employees.
The UP government has given Diwali gift to the state employees with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday announcing bonus for them. This information has been shared by the CM office on social media.
Kejriwal also announced that non-permanent employees of the civic body will also get a bonus of Rs 1,200 in the festive season.
CM Yogi informed that the state employees and pensioners will be provided with dearness allowance at the rate of 46 per cent of the basic salary.
It will cause an additional financial burden of Rs 500 crore on the state exchequer.
He appealed that the employees of Mumbai Municipal Corporation have done an excellent job in the difficult situation of Covid.
This initiative to ask for a Diwali bonus was taken up with some uncertainty about its acceptance but the response of at least some employers was encouraging.
