Governor C V Ananda Bose headed for New Delhi on Thursday evening, hours after a meeting with the BJP’s present and former state presidents in West Bengal Sukanta Majumdar and Dilip Ghosh respectively.

Ghosh, who is also BJP's candidate for the Bardhaman-Durgapur Lok Sabha seat, claimed that people were being "bought and sold" in the state.
According to Mr Barla, seven BJP MPs from North Bengal will raise the issue in Delhi, talk to the central government and meet West Bengal Governor and others, including the President of India on this matter.
“It is wrong to view everyone who had joined BJP in Bengal after May 2019 as Trojan horses. Many new entrants participated in the election with sincerity. They must not be made to feel unwelcome. Politics is not a game of exclusion; it involves adding support & creating new leaders,” he tweeted.
This is happening even as former TMC leaders and rank and file who joined BJP have started making overtures to go back to their home party, opening up the possibility of BJPs organisation in many districts being severely depleted.
The state BJP also formed a three-member committee led by MP Subhash Sarkar for the protection of the party discipline. Dilip Ghosh was surrounded by the errant party workers asking him to resign after defeat in Assembly poll.
Veteran party leader of Ninghya in Jamuria, Ganesh Chandra Sarnakar alleged that the party leadership had invited him in the meeting and later misbehaved with him.
