Governor C V Ananda Bose headed for New Delhi on Thursday evening, hours after a meeting with the BJP’s present and former state presidents in West Bengal Sukanta Majumdar and Dilip Ghosh respectively.
"Is the state's top super specialty hospital a cattery?" This time, Dilip Ghosh has stirred up a storm on social media by posting pictures of the ‘pathetic’ condition of SSKM Hospital.
“I've come here to end the days of the brokers, and some blackmailers in the BJP," claimed Dilip Ghosh, the national vice president of BJP here today.
Ghosh, who is also BJP's candidate for the Bardhaman-Durgapur Lok Sabha seat, claimed that people were being "bought and sold" in the state.
“The law and order situation in the area is not conducive to holding by-poll. If an MP can be attacked, then imagine the situation common voters are facing. I demand postponement of polling till the situation normalises in Bhawanipore...till the time its conducive for holding a free and fair election,”
Ghosh, said, “The constant attacks by TMC workers on us is evidence enough that Mamata Banerjee is losing ground in her home turf. Her defeat is unavoidable. How else can these desperate attacks by the TMC workers be explained?”
The decision to bring in a new West Bengal president is being seen as part of the BJP's efforts to reinvigorate its organisation in the state amid desertions by a number of its leaders. However, party sources said that the move was aimed to fill the post of the vice president which fell vacant after Mukul Roy switched back to Trinamul once again.
"This double standard cannot continue. Either they will have to say there is no corona in the state or they will have to suspend the polls. There will be a gathering of thousands in the election meeting of Mamata Banerjee. Is there anyone who can arrest them? They will only arrest Dilip Ghosh, Suvendu Adhikari and the BJP supporters,"
"They (Trinamool) are saying that there is no Corona in the state. If that is so, why are they not allowing local trains to operate? Why are they not allowing schools to open? For the last one year, they have not conducted civic polls because of the pandemic. Just because of Mamata Banerjee, the Trinamool is now putting pressure on the ECI for conducting the bypolls..."
