On his visit to Anantnag, the DGP chaired a high-level meeting of police, Army and CRPF officers to review the security scenario in the wake of targeted terror strikes at migrant labourers and ongoing Amaranth pilgrimage.
DGP was speaking in meetings during his visit to Reasi and Gulabgarh in Jammu division where Pakistani agencies are trying to revive terrorism. He reviewed the crime and security scenario.
While interacting with the officers, the DGP said that every measure enforced by JK Police and other security forces is aimed to safeguard the lives of the people.
He stressed on the importance of maintaining close synergy between the forces to meet the security challenges.
The DGP visited Kulgam, Handwara and Kupwara where he reviewed the security situation with senior police, CRPF and Army officers.
He said that the Gazetted officers must ensure that all technical norms of NDPS cases are complied with.
This was stated by the DGP at the closing ceremony of 9th Police Martyrs Memorial Inter Club Cricket Championship at Kathua.
Reviewing the situation, the DGP directed the officers to identify the saboteurs and the elements that were trying to disturb the peace.
Dilbag Singh also said that prohibitory orders were lifted from 10 districts in Jammu.
